  • Best spot for dual cooling thru-hull fitting?

For those of you that have added dual cooling to a 97-99GP1200, where did you put your thru-hull fitting? The best place I can tell would be just below the OEM cooling thru-hull fitting. I was just wandering what spot you guys used. thanks

I put my 2nd 1/2 in cooling line Thru/hull fitting where the stock trim cable came through the hull.
I am using a auto drop nozzle so I ran the cooling line thru the hole the trim cable used to be in.

What is the deal with the auto drop nozzle? Can you explain that to me? I have seen a couple of people mention them, but I was not sure what it was exactly.

I ended up using the spot below the OEM spot for my thru-hull. It worked out good!

Auto drops are for racing. It couples the steering and trim together so that when you steer hard left or right, it trims the bow down.

Thanks. That doesn't sound like something I need for my boat. I am looking for straight line performance (drag racing)
