    Re: compression

Both about 150 on a good gauge, no more than 10% apart.

        compression test...

I'm interested in purchasing a compression tester. Just wondering if anyone was aware of a cheap but affective model. Thanks

I didn't know Mikuni made compression testers :)

Any local auto store will have one that will be good for quick checks, around $30.

              Re: compression testers

When purchasing a compression tester, do I have to look for one that this 2 stroke specific? I wasn't sure if there are contain ones for 2 and 4 stroke or there all the same. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This one will do what you need...and is a good quality.Make sure you use the correct adaptor....compare to the length of your plug, and make sure the adaptor is not longer.

                    Re: compression

I bought the one that has the quick disconnects. It has a universal tapered rubber tip that you kinda screw in there as tight as possible. Seems to work ok.

                      Re: compression

I have heard that the rubber tip compression testers are hard to keep on and a little less accurate. Although you don't have to worry about finding the correct adapter:emoticonc

Does anyone know what size adapter I would need for a WR500 model spark plug. Getting ready to buy a compression tester and wanted to make sure it fit the spark plug whole.
