I need to know if a sea-doo trim system will fit a waverunner 3. I would like to put a trim system on this craft maybe a cable/twist system trying to get some idea's here. This is a firefighting pwc and it needs a little help getting out of the hole at first after that it just fine. Coming out of the hole is the only prob. this craft is having due to the fire fighting foam tank ( 4.5 gal.)under the seat.:)

    Re: Trim

I've seen our local fire department with a pair of GP1200's, used probably for rescues, but I don't imagine they are for actually fighting fires...

Waverunner III? Kinda old isn't it? Wouldn't something a little bigger/heavier do a better job???

But, I got off your posted question. I would figure you could rig something up but it sounds like it would be lots of work and if it didn't work when the machine was really needed that wouldn't be good.

      Re: Trim

It seems to me that a trim system off of a Yamaha would be easier to adapt to a Yamaha ski rather than on off a Doo. I don't know that much about Yamaha skis so I cannot reccomend a specific ski to look at for a system.
Also, if that 4.5 gal tank and a rider puts the ski over it's weight limit, I don't know how much a trim will really help.
I would do some more research before spending the money and time trying to retro fit that ski. It may be more ecconomical to sell it and get a larger, more powerful ski.

a seadoo trim ? dont you want a system that would work more then once before it brakes lol . the yamaha twist trim is better , or use the doo VTS box and motor and a the trim packs off a OMC outboard . would be cheeper and last a long time .

the waverunner3 was givin to us brand new out of the box to try and make this system work and it did after many hour of work and many parts it started out being elect. over hyd. but now is all elct. 12 volt. and it has been run hard and hung up wet but still is able to pump out over 380 gallon per min. Top speed is about 30mph. I will try to post a pic. of this craft it's one of a kind.

          thank guys
