  • assembly fluid

Getting ready to rebuild my 701.I have rebuilt many auto and truck engines...including chevy, ford,Mack, cummins and caterpillars. With them,I would use STP oil treatment for assembly fluid, and never had any failures during breakin.

My question is this...What do I use for assembly oil/fluid for a 2-stroke?

    TIA

I don't know what you are going to be 'treating'. The only thing you should do is put some oil on your finger, run it around the cylinder before you assemble it over the pistons.

        Thanx for the quick reply.

TS,That is what I wanted to know.I know not to put a dry piston in a dry sleeve....So just yamalube will do it.

Ill be picking up some breakin oil from you guys here soon also.

        Thanx again.

They should have more than enough oil on/in them from the manufacturer. You don't do anything specifically during assembly.
