Does anyone know why this would not work for a 99' LS2000 JetBoat with the non-PV engines?
A customer sunk his lask week and filled the fuel system and engines with water. 16 Gal. in the tank and 6 Gal in the engines. I used a wet vac and went down the carbs and past the reeds with a small hose and sucked most of the water out of each cylinder. It fired up after cleaning the plugs off around a million times but finaly got them started.
I have removed the carbs after getting it started and running by priming it down the carbs. I kept it running for @10 min. each while flushing by squirting premix a little at a time until the engines warmed up. It was the best I could do with the fuel tank full of water.
The oil tank looks free of water but I will drain out a quart and see if anything shows up while changeing the oil filter.
I have drained the fuel tank and am replaceing the fuel filters and blowing out all the lines. I would like to take the top off the fuel tank off and wipe the inside clean. Does anyone know how do you get to the top of the fuel tank?
Also. Am I missing anything else that could have water inside and needs to be cleaned out?
