Are you looking for quick out-of-the-hole, top speed, or all-around performance?
Either way, Carl at Island Racing is your man. See: http://www.islandracing.net/pages/792736/index.htm

Re: Impellor question...xl1200 Ltd Yamaha
Acording to the solas selection guide (If you want to go with Solas) it looks like the YD-SC-X (13/19), YD-CD (12/18), or the YD-SC-I (13/19) works with a stock ski. Anyone have any input on the differences of the Concorde, X, and IJK series of props?
BTW - Did you have to do any carb adjustments after installing the D-plate on that ski? I have a D-Plate on the way for my 99' XL1200 LTD and was wondering how the after-Install adjustments (if any) went for you.

Re: Impellor question...xl1200 Ltd Yamaha
As Uncle B say's, a lot depends on whether you want max hole shot, max top-end or a general "all-around" impeller that will give you both better bottom and top-end vs. your stock impeller but maybe not the best at either end of the spectrum.
I have an new Solas X (13-16) I'll sell for $100 + shipping if interested. I can even ship it directly to Carl @ Island if you want him work his magic on it.

Re: Impellor question...xl1200 Ltd Yamaha
Thanks Guys! But the 99XL1200LIMITED uses the YF series impellers. The YD impellers you guys mentioned do not fit on the 99.
QBNKID, You have a few choices for impeller selection for that model. It all depends on your particular goals and also your riding conditions ( climate, elevation, etcetc. ) You can call and we can make some recomendations for your setup.
Also you can post your info and we can reply back so other forum members with similar setups, conditions etc. can benefit from the info.

I have a 2001, GP1200R stocker that ran over 65 mph with std impellor and that was before installing a D-Plate. After installating the D-plate and adjusting the carbs I have added additional 5-10 mph with the right setup. I know the stock impellor overtime gets pitted which will slow down your waverunner so its important to purchase the right impellor for your ride. But if your into speed like me my choice would be top end performance over the jump on the line. I perfer to fly by the opposition myself whose quickly died after the initial jump. Good luck in selection.

Nothing will save gas except trading your ski in on a four stroke or fuel injected two stroke.
