I'll try to summerize. 02/2003 gp1300r, cust. had it maybe 8 mo. Tied to dock. Tide came in=ski sank. not completely but maybe 1/2 or more nose down..once out tried to blow air into cyl with plugs out and aluminim tip of air blower fell into cyl. now he is f'd.. now I get to deal with it, got tip out and blew rest of water out of intake and engine (not good, I know!) So I tell him get some money together it needs a crank, he's no way, im yes way, he says just run it and if its good :) if not rebuild. well the result of that was now it needed a piston/cylinder and the crank. fast forward a year and all the parts are finally purchased, ski rebuilt, running with no codes on the display. but if you try to give it the least little bit of throttle there if a big dead spot. any part or more than idle just winds up but you cant get a steady rpm at any place but idle. it just misses.
At first I thought the crank was the culprit, but now im wondering if maybe some salt water may have affected the injectors and or the TPS. The oil injector lines were never removed, but I did bleed them just incase. The fuel is not great but wouldn't that affect the idle too. it just seems like the injectors may be spraying irregularly or dribbling and the shooting open trying to adjust to the right spot and not gettin it.
The compression is 125 on all 3. and I tried to find an intake leak with MAP gas and i also tried with carb spray (carefully- that exhaust is close)
Any ideas? your help is greatly appreciated.
