  • WR 500 cylinder

I done a bad thing. When tightening a head bolt, I broke the bolt hole (sleeve). It came off in one piece, and I am wondering if I can use a cold weld product like JB weld or something to put it back together. I certainly hope so, but I am concerned that when I try to torque the bolt it'll crack the sleeve again. Am I totally hosed, or is there a prayer? If hosed, where in the heck can I just find the cylinder(s)? Yamaha's site does not list the parts of the top end as separate, and since it's Sunday I can call them.

    Thanks\Ron

None on EBay, nor anywhere else I've looked. If you can find one, I'd appreciate a note back.

      Thanks

you my be able to check with local welding shop to see if it could be TIG welded back together. A good welder should be able to look at it and tell u if it will hold after the weld.
