  • 2001 GPR engine swap 1200 non pv

Has anyone ever put a non pv 1200 in a 2001 GPR. The PV motors are very hard to find.

There is not much worth rebuilding on it. I need cylinders, pistons, crank. Seems that SBT and the other online rebuilders are out of stock on the 1200pv. Plus it costs about 2 times as much.

I think the newest gp1300r have non-pv motors.

If the 1200pv motor is hard to find, then have you tried calling rebuilders and offering to send your core in first to be rebuilt for you?

If you mean you have totaled your engine and have no core, then look to the classifieds, call the salvage yards or buy a new one. They are certainly NOT hard ot find, it just costs a lot of money when you don't have a core.
