95 WVT700 Engine Won't Crank

A friend and I were heading out to the lake yesterday and his Wave Venture cranked but wouldn't start. He stopped cranking then tried again and nothing. The electronics module was making some noise but nothing from the starter. We thought maybe a lanyard switch problem or starter relay but they test ok.

Any ideas?

Replace the battery/cables - which ever tests out to be bad.

Is it a fast click noise or buzz? Mine made that noise and found loose battery connection. I could be a bad battery too.
