Aprox I quart per Tank. I try to keep 1/2 Gal amsoil in the ski all the time. I just purchased 2 Gal amsoil via the net this week. Ordered Monday, at the door step Thursday.

BTW how much you pay for the 2 gal? and where?

Are there any other oils that work with the gp1200r? I cheated with some oil from my boat, but was very concerned I was going to blow it up, but it ran like a champ. Makes me wonder if the w2 is more for emmisions, or if it really is required?

From what I understand, the catcon is the reason the yamalube is required. After you remove the catcon you can run whatever you like. I chose the amsoil off others recommendations.

Looks like I'll be getting the D plate sooner than i thought, my closest yamaha dealer for yamalube is about 35 mins away. Be nice not to get stuck on the water, because none of the marinas carry it around here.
