• WaveVenture 1100 Impeller question ?

I need to gain a mph or two. My sons 760 raider slowly pulls away on a flat out run.I think that I need to change my impeller because "the old man doesn't like to loose". My impeller is stock and would like a few suggestions on which impeller would help ? I do pull a raft now and then so I will need some pulling power.

That's kind of odd that it would work out that way - is he modified?

I would suggest you contact www.impros.com and have your impeller and/or pump reworked - they can re pitch yours and do any repairs you may need for less than 1/2 the cost of a new impeller.

If ski is stock or slight motor work, a SOLAS 13-19 Super Camber will be a good choice. I have mine done (engine) up and running a 14-21 (pitched by Impros)

I have the '96 Venture 1100 (Riva RPM KIT, but used the OE head mod). I ran away from a slight modded GP 1200, and I have run along with a stock 1200R last labor day, till I developed a shake, only to find the 10 hr old RIVA drive coupler damper fingers breaking off. Put the factory Yamaha damper back in, went to Sea-Doo dealer and got a handfull of their shims to get the motor as straight as possible.

thanks man. tryin to decide between an XO or a J or a 13/19concord or a re-pitched version of any of them.

Brian, what do you run on your 97?(do u still have that ski?).

Also, Brian
*important question*
If i put in a stock decked head bumping comp to 145psi range, will i still get 400hrs on my engine before rebuild in your opinion? How much degradation..200, 100, 50hrs between rebuilds?
Your opinion pls. Never mind..too important to be buried..gonna repost this part..

thanks,
Dave

Actually a buddy of mine has it, it's been sitting for 2 years up near Detroit. He's actually selling it right now for $2k if anyone wants a mint 1997 Venture 1100 with less than 50 hours. The carbs will need to be rebuilt from gunk, but that's it.

It's stock except for removal of the reverse bucket and addition of Hydroturf.

I don't have a Venture, like I said it's my buddy's.

Yes I have the Runner, that's my purple engine on the left

It's got:

K&N flame arrestors
Carb adaptors
2.3 N&S, pop-off set @ 20p.s.i.
120 pilots, 112.5 Mains
Primer, choke removed
Delta2 Reeds
Riva Reed Spacer
Trued & Welded SBT crank
1.00mm oversize SBT Anodized pistons
Pump Gas Porting by Joe St.Louis
custom cut 150 p.s.i. rec. head, squish @ 0.050"
Riva Trim Tabs
Pro-Tec Intake Grate
Riva Limited Rideplate (shimmed 0 front, 5mm rear)
Clear-blue fuel/primer lines
Hydroturf Mats
Solas XO prop
1998 5 deg. reduction nozzle

Prior to porting it was running a hair over 65. I will be doing further testing this weekend for a new result.

I have an Adjust-A-Thrust to install right after that but need a good baseline first.

After that I am going to install a Jetworks adjustable flow control vavle for the stinger injection, that should give a much snappier off-idle response.

for a prop on a basically stock 11 yamaha you cant beat a SOLAS 14-20 slim hub. I installed one ion my raider 1100 and gained apprioximately 1.5 MPH and stopped cavitating off the line which was my main goal. You may want to check your impeller and see if its dinged up or bent. if you need a impeller I have my old one which looks brand new. Ill let it go for 60$ shipped to you

Don't use them exactly unless you have the same mods...they will vary.
