i hate to disagree with you but be careful on raiders. On most raiders there was a factory recall http://www.geocities.com/coscaperformance/page5.html
if you had the recall done then the jetting will be different on the middle carb. the high and low jet wont be able to flow wenough fuel because the jets are smaller. with the 2.0 N&S it doenst sound like you had the recall done. personally I woudl rejet the carbs like this
115 high 105 low and the 2.0 N&S are fine but you can step up to a 2.5. ( I changed to 80 gram springs (silver color at least I tink they were 80 gram rated but they were sliver)Pop off ended up 15 PSI)thats what i did on my raider when i had the 38s and flame arresters. also get rid of the chokes and add a primer kit. if you add flame arresters make sure the filter adapters have a oil injection nipple. otherwise you have to take off the okld oil injector fittings from the air intake base. they come off with a pair of vice grips and twisting. now you have to remove the manifold and drill the outside turn ( facing the hull) not the inside turn. and then press fit the nipples in there. Dont worry I have a extra intake manifold for a raider ( my old one) that you can have cheap ( pay for shipping and its yours) if you screw it up. basically drill the holes slightly smaller and tap the fittings in. or you can jb weld them in the hols being careful not to plug up the oil injector hole. the reason for doing the oil injector fittings lower on the manifold instad of up high is because when you run the ski lots of the oil will get blown back out the air filters. In fact group K does this exact mod to the raiders. I wouldnt put the oil injectors up high like they were before jsut because of the blow back will take the oil and splatter it all over the place. also make sure that the #1 carb has a restrictor in the return fuel line. It will stop it from bogging and stalling. If it doesnt have a restrictor then jsut take the smallest high speed jet you can find. and shove it in the return line with a screwdriver ( thats what i did to mine) soem people will tell you to change to a different carb rejet set up but thats what worked for me.
I also went to pre mix on my raider. If you go to pre mix then still do the oil fittings incase you sell it and the other guy wants the oil injection, but plug them up with small rubber caps
let me knwo if you need anymore help on the raider

      OOPs forgot
also starting 2 1/2 turns out wont give you a lot of adjustment. anything over 2 1/2 turns wont do much to change the fuel flow. the needle is also backed out almost to the point where the only thing slowing the fuel down is the sharp needle point. what you do is ( if you change jets ) is start out at 1 turn on low and 1 1/2 turn on high.
then go from there. also at abotu 3-3 1/2 turns the needle jet falls out. ( I know cause I did it)
anyway dont want the wrath of Bryan on me for writng a book so Ill shut up now

I took the back covers of the carbs off to look for the jet in the return line you were talkin about but theres only a gasket and a fuel filter in there. i have a book for it and it shows a diaphram, some gaskets and another piece thats not on mine. am i missing crutial parts or what. matt

Thanks Rob, I didn't know about that recall.

I wasn't suggesting to RUN at 2 1/2 turns out, just a safe starting point. The first mod i ever did on my 1200 was just FAs. I ended up having to go around 1 1/2 turns as my end point.

Either you misread or your book is crap. You only have one fuel pump on one carb, the other two work off of residual fuel from that single pump. The other two just have as you described, a plate. The restrictor is in the actual nipple of the last carb before the tank. It's there, don't worry about it.

One more question. Theres a cover over the high speed adjustment, how do i get it off?

It's just a plastic limiter cap. Pull it right off.

actually your carbs dotn have fuel pumps. the fuel pump is a external unit thats bolted to the underside of the stock air box base.
bryan you must be thinking sea doo carbs. like bryan said the little caps coem off and get discarded. the return line restrictor is nto in the carb.
Ok do this. look at the #1 carb return line nipple. it shoudl either be a open nipple or it is almost completely plugged up with a metal cap with a tiny hole in the center. if you dont have the return line UPDATE/RECALL then you add a jet in the return line rubber hose. Read the recall link I posted. it shows you the return line restrictor

Once again, jet kit as supplied from RIVA for use with their arrestors/adapters with the 63M/1100 engine:

                        115 main--all 3
                        75 pilot--stock, I went 80--all 3
                        2.3 needle/seat--all 3
                        (3) dull silver springs, don't recall gram rating, though part # ends with "T" (at RIVA)

WELD the crank, TOO MANY parts pressed together.

The service bulletin for the carbs is for use with the factory supplied airbox, fella has arrestors if I recall. Need to look at the return fitting on the #1 carb, if it is a small "pinhole", you are ok, somebody has changed that part already. Use the above list of parts, start with factory screw adjustments, then "trim" from there. Use the Boyesen "028" power reeds and it will run good.

matt youre looking at the direct opposite side of the carb of where the jets are located.

It's in the cover you just took off - it's not a jet, per se, just a plug with a hole in it in the outlet nipple on that cover - the one with the arrow going out. You can't get to it at all, it's built into the cover.

Go to the #1 carb, pull the fuel line off the nipple that routes fuel back to the fuel tank. Look at the end of the brass nipple, should have a "REALLY REALLY" small hole in it. If it does, it's done, put line back on and carry on.
