My 1100 raider is having a little problem. In front of the motor is a rubber boot that says fuse on it. Once in a while, the wires inside of this come loose, causing the ski to not start after I turn it off. All I do right now is put the wires back together and it is fine. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it. I don't want to just put them together with electrical tape because I don't know if there is supposed to be some fuse in there. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

Why not just solder them back together and heat-shrink it?

      Brain,

Thanks for the quick response. Like I said, I didn't want to put them together and be missing some type of fuse in there. But if that will work without messing anything up, then I will just do that.

      Thanks

If you are reffering to the 2 red wires at the fuse holder, solder the wire ends to the end of the red wires, and re-assemble with the fuse.
The breaking of the small "cheesy" terminals is quite comon, mine happened in the driveway, and not on the water. I filled the backside of the terminal "cup" with solder and the wire.

Mine has just done the same a month ago and had to be towed in 6 miles ( on the sea).
Fitted a 10 amp curcuit breaker onwires after rubber grommet and fits tight in the holder. Now if the curcuit trips I don"t need to look for a fuse at sea....just reset though never had to. Breaker from a Aircraft Spruce or go and see a a plane mech for one.
