  • 760 piston failure cause?

Here is an XL 760 with a piston failure. This looks to me like an air leak problem?

Also some rust from not fogging the cylinders and letting it sit too long between rides.

Only the rear cylinder was affectied and the crank looks fine with no signs of overheating or debris. I pulled the carb and there was no signs of water or anything gloging the jets and the fuel pump looked like all the parts were working.

Yes thats the funny thing. I ran the ski on the trailer and it was pumping oil into each carb. They may have ran it out and then after haveing problems they added oil and by the time I got it the oil system was working again.
