I am looking at a 91 Waverunner lx 650. This seems to be a basic old machine, and will do fine for a beginning toy, I think. It seems to be inexpensive and has not been used much lately. It looks to be all original and intact.
Does this have a decent reputation for reliabilty? Can 2 adults ride on it?
How far will it go on a tank, I think it has a 5 gal tank?
I think it is a 650 cc single carb motor.
Had a nightmare trying to test ride it, dead battery to begin with, then ran out of gas, but that was my fault. Otherwise, it seemed to run ok, except it had to be eased into full throttle, and would not take just being opened up. However, this was about 30 seconds before it started running out of gas.
Is it too old to be worth $900 or so? Trailer included.
