i just bought a 96 waveblaster2 that shuts off in choppy water. its runs fine im smooth. this only happens when im on reserve. only mods so far are a rideplate and handlebars so i kno i didnt F anything up.hehe! never had this problem with my old xp. is this something to expect with yamahas?..........nah!! somethings gotta be wrong. i think its a loose fuel line but i want a 2nd opinion. any help would do me and my ski great. When you are on reserve, DO NOT run the ski hard. You are obviously very low on fuel, and when it sloshes around you can and will suck up air. Your ON switch may also be kincked, possibly partially allowing air to come in through the ON line. you might want to pressure check the fuel system. -
