  • 96 1100 carb adjustment??

i have a 96 1100 waveraider and it will fire right up and when on the trailer with the hose attached it will rev right up. But when in the water and under load it will bog out and shut off. Is there a carb adjustment? Sounds like not enough fuel. The entire machine only has 50hrs and the carbs are spotless and i really cant see having them cleaned/rebuilt (suggusted on another post). Is there a way i can test to see if the carbs are supplying the correct amount of fuel before i have them cleaned/rebuilt to only find out that it was not the carb and something else?

If they were delivering the right amount of fuel, it would not bog out and die.

Remove those carbs and clean them now, before you end up replacing the motor.

Clean on the outside has nothing to do with clean on the inside.

I agree. The carbs have an internal filter. It is under the plate for the fuel in and out lines. Looks like a black circle, pull them out of each carb and clean them along with the jets and replace the needle and seats.
