pulled motor and it actually looks pretty good my compression tester doesnt fit so i can only go by feel and looks but motor has decent compression by hand and pistons /cyls not scored. discovered that pump was locked up pulled it apart and found the impeller housing is trashed, jamming impeller. my question now is that after looking for parts on web ,the part listed for this ski is a 6R7 series pump and what i have is a 6R8 series housing. did yamaha switch up pumps does it really matter ? doesnt look like this has ever been apart. but who knows. does anyone have a used housing?I might fool around and get this thing running yet:D:emoticonw

Re: freebie update
Wahoo! had motor runnin sounds strong, welded broken ear where former owner butched flush kit install.welded pump housing and did a little custom grinding on liner so pump spins freely i know it needs replaced to bring it in specs just wanna see if its gonna be worth it , need to replace some miss ing bolts and figure out water hoses ......... OH yeah ok heres the 10.00 question i have a service manual but its unclear as to routing of water hoses. need to know where they go on this ski its a wrb650p one hose coming from pump i think goes to bottom of manifold, then a hose from the "elbow"to head and flush kit goes to other nipple on elbow. is that correct?
drive it like you stole it
