  • Yamaha 701 with single carb setup

High I was just wondering if someone could give me a starting point on the jetting specs and high/low adjustments for this setup, because normally the 701 usually is setup for double carbs, bye the way this single carb has a open flame arrestor also.Thankyou for your suggestions in advanvce. One more thing the rest of the ski is bone stock,no mods.

do you have SBN carb? my 650 is 1 1/8 turns out for both high and low speed jets stock i would start a little richer (about 2 turns?) and work in.did you change to single carb cause 701 came both ways single and dual. but intake and exhaust (and carb jetting) is different for both.

Re: Yamaha 701 with single carb setup

      The 94 and 95 61X single carb superjets had a 120 low, 135 high and a 1.5 N/S, in the stock 44mm

Some of the older 44mm stock yamaha carbs had a coarse thread on the low adjuster. Some had fine threads on the adjuster. My 650 had coarse threads, my wifes 94 701 had fine threads.
