Has anyone ever used a work light inside the hull of their ski to keep the engine warm on cold nights?

Placing anything electric like that into a hull with gasoline is not wise. There is no need to keep a Yamaha from 'freezing' anyway. Blow the water out after flushing and mop up any in the hull per normal riding procedure, and you are all set as far as water freezing concerns.

        There is no point.

sorry.. did not mean to step on any toes. just my 02cents..
and if they are safe enough to put on a baby i would trust it on a block.
i just remember it being nearly impossible to get all the water out of the cylinder jackets...

Yes, I was referring to just keeping the engine block from freezing...same idea as some people use up north on their cars during the winter. Living in Charleston SC, we do not normally get a lot of cold weather during the winter...but we do usually get one pretty good cold spell during mid January thru early Feb...I know a few folks who do this to the inboard engines on their boats. I am not that worried about the ski...just wondering if it would make that much of a difference. Thanks!

Baby's don't hold containers of gasoline or live in a room filled with gasoline vapors.

You don't need to get *all* the water out of the block, it doesn't hurt anything. Freeze damage is caused by improper use/storage, not just freezing.
