FX 1400 Impeller housing

Yesterday, I replaced my first FX 140 Housing. The owner had not used it for a year and didn't rinse the jet pump parts. It's on a lift behind her house and the salt air alone corrodes the jet pump parts. I replace about 50 of these things a year and tell people to rinse everything until I'm blue in the face...but they never do.....at least it's a good money maker for me.

And somewhat easy work....

I did three this year and thats just from friends...same situation,parked in the air on a dock,on salt water.

Salt air is tough,I deal with it all the time with our handlesets on our doors...I tell these sales guys time and time again....dont sell brass handlesets on the saltwater or near golf courses.....sell brushed nickel or stainless.

I think it is just from the salt air itself,and not rinsing it doesnt help much.
