ive had problems with my BN44 carbs from my gp800 , my low speed screws were seazed in , ive finally got them out and cant get the new ones in , i think that maybe theres some dirt or rust or god knows left in the holes, the old screws came out hole so theres no screw left in there. been told i can get a tool that screws into the holes and cleans them as it screws in , but i dont know the measurement been told that for example it could be 3 x .80 etc but cant find exact screw info . can anybody give me any advice on this

Re: mikuni low speed screws ????
Not sure on the thread size, but you will need to run a "tap" to clean up the threads. I guess the carb's are in bits so you take the part down to a good engineering shop and ask for one to suit.
A "tap" is what is used to cut threads for bolt holes and a "Dia" is used for making threads on bolts etc. Have you heard of a "Tap and Dia set"?:)

Re: mikuni low speed screws ????
My SBN 38s used either 5mm X.75 or 5MM X .8.
Don't know if they are the same.
Make sure you get thread forming and not cutting.
