  • Engine Breaking-in the engine and gas level

Hi, On the Breaking-in Aticle say to do the first ten gallons of gas. Ny engine went bad with a full tank of gas and I do not have a way to take out the gas from the boat. Will I be damaging the engine by doing the breaking with a full tank of gas? I will end up with 40 Gallons of gas and a bit less than a gallon of oil. Will the engine suffer if I do that. How will I have to change the process to deal with that.

You need to buy the appropriate pump/siphon tools to drain the tank, or pay a shop to do it for oyu. The first tank needs pre-mix, as detailed.

What I was saying is that I will be having the correct mixture (50:1) in the tank when I am doing the breaking, but instead of 10 Gallons I will have 40 gallons that is what the boat can hold. I would think that the more lubrication that you put to the engine during breaking the better that it will be to avoid future damage.

Thank you for your help and I hope to hear from you guys soon. :emoticont

Ah, ok. That will be fine, you'll probably ust need to change your plugs then.
