94 Waverunner3 breaking up high speed
I have a 1994 Waverunner III and it starts and idles great.
I ran it Saturday and it ran great for the first two hours. We were on the way home and it just started missing and breaking up - while riding at cruising speed. After that, the problem wouldn't go away.
When accelerating, just past half throttle the motor starts missing and breaking up. I had brand new plugs in it, so I swapped them out for the plugs that came out of it (it ran fine with those, new plugs are cheap insurance) and it made no difference. I also tried adjusting the air fuel mixture, but that didn't work, either. Both are set to 2 turns out.
It's strange that this happened while riding. I didn't just put gas in it, or recently started it. This happend after 40 minutes of straight line riding. Then all of a sudden, the missing and breaking up started.
Do I have a carb issue? Could it be electrical? Please help! Want to ride!
