1996 750 Waverunner Problems

I had my Jetski out today it was running fine, sound good, but then about 15 minutes into the ride, the engine went sluggish, slowed down and died. I tried to re-start it to make it back to the pier, but it started and sounded like trash and it died again.

Now after being pulled back to the pier, I tried to start it one more time, it started and still it sounded like trash.

Anyone can help with this.
