  • 2000 gp 1200r bogging

    i have an 2000 gp 1200r, starts up and runs fine, when i take it out it bogs and will either shut itself of, or just idle real low, everyonce and a while if i keep playing with the throttle it will take off like is should, any suggestions and getting this runnign right

    How many hours do you have on the ski? pull the spark plugs out and take a look at the color of them. My buddy's ski ('00 Gp1200R) was doing the same thing as yours. After pulling out the plugs we noticed the rear cylinder was running without oil. A oil line came off the carb and toasted the piston and cylinder.

      100 hours, the ski fells like its cutting out when its going, ill be going about mid 60's and it will just sart bogging, then it wont want to go and if i keep feathering the throtlle it will kick back up and speed up again

        also it dosent have this problem when out of the water, i can rev it right up and it revs up all the way and drops back to idel fine, it only acts up in the water
