I have an 02 XLT800, I have no idea of its past history, I just got a new battery and installed it last week and when I try to start it all it does is make a click sound on the Right side(if you were sitting on it). Its not a clicking sound just one click. Is the starter shot or selonoid? Is there a sel. I am totally new to the PWC stuff so I have no idea where to begin. I know the battery has a strong charge on it so its not low or dead. I don't want to buy a new starter if there's something I am missing (simple) or if the motor is shot. Also how can I tell if the motor would be siezed? Where would the main bearing be to see, is there a main bearing? If this were in my truck I would know what to do but this is all new to me.
