VRX-PRO electrical ?

I have a 94 VRX-PRO witht the 701 engine and the symptoms are.

It will start fine cold and rung good for @2-5 min. then it will go into what feels like limp mode and stay that way until it cools back down. I have disconected the heat sensor from the CDI and it will still do it. Does theis sound like a heat soaked stator or could the CDI or Coil cause this?

Usually yes, that's the stator.
