im new to the forum but have a question i have a 1100 triple waveraider under the head there is a silverish plate about 1 inch thick anyone has an idea what this is. and i have also heard that the speedos arnt correct on them but on a calm day with no boats on the water it runs about 69 or thats what the speedo says. anyone know.

Sup Dude! Hey check this website WWW.HLSM.com you should see the plate your talking about. I think that it's going to be the HEAD. It goes like this from the top down. #1 head cover #2 cover gasket #3 head #4 gasket #5 cylinder.
they have online microfiche free.
And about the speedo, they are NOT accurate. I call it the dreamometer! Get a GPS if you want to know the true speed.
