Waverunner vs. Waveraider

What is the difference between a 96 model Waverunner GP 760 and a 96 Waveraider 760?
The side of the jet ski says Waverunner but neither NADA or KBB have a listing for this model. They only list a Waveraider. Are these skis the same, or are they different hulls?

The Raider hull was a shortened version of the Venture 3-seater hull. It is completely different than the GP hull. They are two different models using the same engine. The GP replaced the Raider as the two-up hull.

Raider is the older model the GP took the place of the Raider.
I feel the GP is much nicer hull as it is much better hull. But that my friend is an opinion. Fact is the GP is newer and will sell more easily. If its on cost , and if the Raider is dirt cheap get it if. But if both are of by few dollars then go with the GP. [img]graemlins/buck.gif[/img]

The raider hull is a faster hull tho....no doubt about it. The GP hull is a better ski for rough water and also ride comfort...however it's no match for a raider hull for sure. Also the GP hull will turn better then the raider one...but the raiders skis...without a doubt is one of the faster hulls out there is my 2 cents. I have a friend with a 94 701 raider and it is way faster then my other friends 98 gp 760 and a 2000 gp 760. The raider just leaves the other 2 skis behind.

Yes Quick is correct...the "purple" was the last year b4 they went to the SMC it's the lighest one out there as far as raiders are concerned except for the bigger brother 11s

A purple bottom 94 Waveraider 701 is faster than any other Raider or GP760 period... Handling is another story

Yes, Mikes right, except for the triples. I was refering to all of the twin cylinder raiders.
