The 2000 GPR's have a few reliability issues. The first are the powervalves. I would take the PV covers off and inspect the valves and add PV clips to prevent the pins from walking out, dropping the valve, and potentially destroying your motor.
How many hours are on the ski? Anything above 40, its a good chance that the catylitic is shot.
The 00 also had the thin impeller housing which were notorious for bubbling and contacting the impeller--- this area should also be inspected.
