For the past 4 times I have been out on my 04 waverunner xlt1200, it has failed to initially start. I press the start button and throttle, it turns over but never seems to catch. It takes 10-15 minutes before the engine ever starts, after that it is fine. I was able to start it setting the fuel selector to reserve, but even that does not do the trick. Is this normal for this watercraft or does something need to be replaced? It has about 100 hrs on it.
