  • Help identifying yamaha 1200 non pv part.

I need help verifing what this part is and what it is for. I have one brass nipple coming out the top of the crankcase/cylinder head. What is this for and what type of engine is this on. I looked at other engines but could not identify it.

Is the nipple coming straight out the back of the head? If it is that is for a cooling line

        Thats on a '98 GP1200 non PV.

The nipple is coming staight up from the top of cylinder #2 at the top of the cylinder case. I was told by a friend that it may be a water bypass kit. If so How is it used and what connections do I use to complete this?

Someone has modified the head for dual cooling.
