Again, I apologize for being the nubee here, but why all the discussion of rebuilding carbs on yamaha skis? Are the mikunis that touchy? Mercury mechanics always told me to just run a tank of sea-foam (3oz/gal) through the carbs on my other marine engines, and it seemed to fix most ills.

It has nothing to do with the carb brand or make of ski. A lot of PWCs just don't get the proper maintenance they need, that's all. Putting additives/cleaners in a 2 stroke PWC is a recepie for a blown engine.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
