I have a 1200xlt, new engine and just rebuilt the carbs. I was having problems trying to get fuel into the engine and foud the reserve line from the tank was broken off....so the tank was not pressurizing. That was fixed. I still can't get the engine to run on its own gas without priming the cylinders. Is there anything in the fuel assembly that I might of over looked? I am getting spark. However, I am not sure if its sufficient spark. If it is the spark strength...what are some strategies to fixing this problem?

Re: 1200 still wont start
If you can prime it and it starts, then its not an electrical issue. Is your return line swaped with the fuel in line? are your crank case pulse lines hooked up, fuel valve on? water/fuel separator getting fuel? Check all of these and if all is working then check the fuel pumps out. Tom SBT tech.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
