We have just got a 05 Yamaha VX110 Deluxe with low power, I can only get it up to 43 mph. Is this normal for this unit and if not anything to check. or can we but a better impeller on it? and if so what one? or anything else to mod it to be faster?

Re: 05 Yamaha VX110 Deluxe low power
What's your definition of all the way up? If you mean redline, then most likely you have an issue with your pump and the impeller and/or wear ring needs to be replaced.
How's the holeshot (when you pin the throttle from a stand-still)? Does the ski launch out of the water and go, or does it sit there, spinning it's "wheels" for a bit?Dan Solie -

Could be the pump.. We really need to know the RPM's you are reaching when you are at 43mph.
Also, has the 43mph been verified by anything else besides the ski? Another ski, GPS, radar etc. Ski speedo's are always off.Dan Solie -
