I have a 98 GP 760 and it is like riding a frog through the water. It hops 6 feet before it hits the water again. It never plains. Everyone laughs at me at the lake. I have an fx 140 that wont start due to electrical problems and a gp 760 thats like riding a bucking horse through lake, i am starting to doubt yamaha's or maybe even pwc's in general. If there is anyone in kc mo that works on waverunners for a reasonable price you can mail me. And the kicker is both the machines have under 60 hrs, and i have only owned them for about 20.

I have a 98 gp760 did the same thing it would not hook up installed a riva ride plate and solas prop with a top loader grate did same thing, i shimed out the rear ride plate with 2 washers the problem got better. Then i put my sponsons all the way down that worked.good luck (the complete pump assembly is out of a gp800)
