  • Yamaha GPR 800 Prop/Impeller

I had my ski out the other day and when I took off I lost the prop.

It made a high pitch squeel as though I had either spun the prop or something had been sucked into the intake.

I checked and nothing was sucked in but when I tried to moved the prop/impeller it didn't move the driveshaft but I did feel some type of vibration.

I have been looking, but I can not figure out what went wrong. Is it like a boat with a impeller bushing that went bad? Can anyone tell me if this has happened to them?

You need to remove the pump as an assembly, that is pump and wear ring and remember that the impeller is comunist thread that means turning it left will tightens it!
