I have a battery problem. It does not charge. I know with an auto if you put a meter on the battery while the engine is running you will get 13 to 14 volts. On my waverunner I only have 12 volts. I unhooked the termanal from the battery and tested it across the neg. and pos. cables and get 0 but the waverunner will still run telling me it is puting out enough to at least give it spark. I called the dealer where it was sold from and the guy said to try a new battery, so I bought one. Still no difference. Can anyone give me some advice on what to look for without replacing a bunch of parts. Thanks

Purchase a factory manual if you are troubleshooting electrical, It could be an issue with the stater or the reg/rectifier.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Took longer to get the service manual then it took to trouble shoot. Had a bad rectifier regulator.Comment
