carbs sticking

2001 gpr1200 42 hrs stock
last lake trip everything was running great, then I went to go for a rip and pulled the throttle and the carbs stuck open giving the throttle cable lots of slack any ideas

also when the ski is running the vacuum returns the ventures so it is ride able. when I got home following day it was fine snap back closed

You need to take the seat off of the ski, stick your head in there and try to figure out what's wrong. Could be stuck throttle cam or your throttle cable needs to be replaced. You may have to remove the exhaust so you can see what's going on........
