  • LX 210 Slowly Losing Power

I have an 03 LX 210 and my driver's side engine is slowly losing power. The boat runs great for the first coupler of hours out on the water and as the day goes on the driver's side engine begins losing RPMs. Besides seeing it in the tach I can eventually notice the loss of power in the speed. It will hit 7000 rpms the first time I do a full throttle run. Then it will begin dropping about 500 rpms with each full throttle run all the way down to about 4500 rpms. This is happenning gradually after using the boat most of the day. I have switched fuel lines, replaced fuel and oil filters, added ethanol treatment to gas, drained fuel tank, did a compression check, and changed the fuel tank vent. Any suggestions?

    Thank You

Electrical system could be heating up causing the issue or your low on compression when the engine is hot.

If electrical what part of the electrical should I start replacing first? I have not done a hot compression test yet myself so I will do that next. If I'm losing compression when its hot what are some possible problems?

        LX 210 Slowly Losing Power

Hey guys,Im taking my car into my mechanic tomorrow but I thought Id get a few opinions on this anyways. About a week ago I was driving home from Toronto so I was on the highway and my car started losing power. It felt like it wasnt breathing or something. I put my foot all the way to the floor and nothing it slowly just kept losing power. So I stopped the car, called a friend that I may need possible help. I accelerated again and the car was fine.I thought perhaps it was just bad gas, spark plugs or something because the car was fine after for a week. Yesterday it did it again while I was driving home, again on the highway and I was only on the highway for three minutes. So tomorrow its getting an oil change, tune up and obviously I told my mechanic what has been going on so hopefully its the air filter or something dumb but please let me know your opinions. It would be very much appreciated.
