codes on 06 fxho and oil light

i have a 2006 fxho. just did a full engine overhaul and when i ran it it sounded ok but only ran about 30 mph and rpm then seemed restriced. oil indicator light came on so i took it home and hooked up mechanical guage. had good oil pressure so i am replacing the switch. when the oil light comes on, is it programmed to restrict performance.

also i am trying to read the codes on the ski. if everything is good it should display a 01 code. the book says to hold down the mode button for 8 seconds. the only buttons on the dash are speed/rpm and hour/volts. how do i read the codes on this ski?

Press the 2 buttons on the left side at the same time and hold for 8 sec. this will put it into the correct mode for checking codes.
