  • XL 760 seal blow out

I got a 1999 Yamaha XL 760 from an older lady this past week. The engine is an SBT with about 20hours it was replaced alittle over 2 years ago so just out of warrenty. The rear seal is blown out. What would cause this to happen on a never rebuild engine? No looking for anything just a reason that this could happen so it doesn;t happen again.
    Thanks

Yamahas are know for blowing out rear seals if water is injested into the case or if they backfire, factory motors will do the same thing.

      Ok thanks,
Had a waterbox blow up with a backfire but never a engine seal.
