Yamaha 650 top end may need replacing-is it worth going 701?

This is for a 1992 Yamaha Waverunner 3- haven't finished getting the cylinder off but it doesn't look too good at this point.

If I'm going to have to get a new engine, would it be relatively easy to put an SBT 701 in, instead?

What's the shipping charges to Australia like?
