Waveblaster 701 engine won't crank

HI

I just rebuild my carbs and put everything back. When i tried to start it it started and the revs just went ballistic. I pulled the plug caps and it still runs. Finally got it to stop when i disconnected the battery. No there is nothing when i push the start button. When i put positive on the starter direct it swings the engine. I have replaced the relay, the cdi. What else must i look for?

Check your wires to the cdi make sure they are connected properly; also check the start/stop button.
