    Help with GP1200R rebuild kits needed

    I have a 2001 GP1200R that I am rebuilding the motor. Based on looking at the SBT website, it looks like I need:

    1. A top end cylinder exchange
    2. A crank exchange
    3. A complete engine gasket kit


    Will this give me everything I need parts wise (assuming there isn't a damage block)?

    I looked for a post but couldn't find one (sorry, seems like this is a common question).

    In the long run it maybe cheaper to replace the engine, you will end up with a 1yr fault free w/a if you go the complete short block.

      In most cases the 3 items would be all the items you would need.

        Thanks. I see what you mean. By the time you pay to pressure test, buy the other sealants etc. pay for things you didn't think of, it is only a couple hundred to have it done right and with a warranty.
