Trying to remove the engine out of a 96 waveventure 1100. The shop manual says to disconnect a few hoses and wire connectors, the exhasut hose, and then losen and remove the engine mounting bolts. Then it says just move it forward to disconnect from the driveshaft and "lift the engine up and out". It doesn't fit out of the hole in the hull! It looks like I have to remove either the exhaust manifold or the intake manifold to get it to a size that it will actually fit and be able to be removed from the hull. Am I correct? Which should I remove - exhaust or intake? Is there another "trick" I'm missing? I will be ordering a SBT engine once I can get this puppy out of the hull...

You have to remove both the intake and exhaust manifolds then turn the engine on it's side while in the hull to remove the mounting brackets... There is not other way I know to get it out.... It's a real pain!
