2002 xlt800 broken bolts

    2002 xlt800 broken bolts

    i'm looking for advice, i installed a rebuilt engine, and two times now, the bolts holding the exhaust chamber on have come loose and some broke off after a few hours of use. i torqued the bolts and used locktite. any ideas?

    Check for broken motor mounts that could be causing vibrations.

      thanks for the suggestion. I removed the engine, and the mounts seem to be tight by pulling and twisting them. would I see a broken mount?
      any other thoughts?
