I have a 2001 800 PV motor that I am just finishing up putting together. I looked on your engine removal/installation guide, and it shows a sensor in the head and a sensor in the exhaust. My Yamaha manual only shows one in the wiring diagram. I have both locations, but for the life of me, I can't find the 2nd sensor. I've traced every wire and I appear to have just one. So the question is - are their two on this motor, and if there is only one, where should it go - in the exhaust or in the head?

I didn't hear from anyone, so I put it in the bung in the exhaust because there was grease in the bung. The sensor had grease on it and the manual called for grease on the sensor, and the one in the bung in the head was clean. There is definitely not two thermo sensors on this ski. -
